Gulf View
Just finished this one up in time for ArtWalk but it needed some touch up work... calling this one GULF VIEW, 36x48, oil on linen. Painted this old oyster house in EastPoint, FL several times on location and a few more in the studio. It’s no longer there, long battered by the coastal weather, it was demolished. I love everything about this spot... the crooked, off balance sway of the building coupled with the perfectly straight horizon created water meeting the sky... not to mention the strong side lighting. Glad I had all of these old photo references from my years at The Forgotten Coast Invitational!
