Hay Bales
I love painting hay bales... how about you?? This was the last piece I did in Leipers Creek a few weeks back. Specifically along the Natchez Trace Parkway. I started it outdoors and it went through a series of changes before I signed it and put it in a frame. I have found that that is a system that works very well for me. Responding and reacting on location is always the best way to learn... but my brain needs some distance and maybe the calming effect of the studio before I can see what a painting needs! It will always tell me...
